The Progress Energy Ethics Help Line provides employees and external stakeholders a safe environment to raise concerns about how we work. We believe everyone shares the responsibility for working with integrity and respect for each other and our stakeholders.

Concerns and comments can also be filed through an external party, EthicsPoint, who manages a phone line and web reporting system. Concerns can be placed in confidence (and anonymously, if preferred) through the EthicsPoint web reporting tool.

What is it for?

Use the system to express concerns, ask questions and offer ideas. Whatever you need it for! Tell us what we’re doing right and what we need to work on. If you’d prefer, you can also remain anonymous by going through the EthicsPoint web reporting tool.

Who should use it?

Everyone. It’s for all employees and stakeholders, regardless of location or position. The system is available in many languages, via both the telephone and internet.

How does the EthicsPoint system work?

You can make a report with an independent firm called EthicsPoint. Progress Energy Corporate Security will assign it to the appropriate person and follow up to make sure it’s being addressed.

How do I access it?

Call 1-855-696-4386, email or go to  and choose “File A New Report.”  Enter Progress Energy (even if you’re at a business with a different name), and go to our page to file your report.
